Lauren is such a stunning blue eye- bombshell bride! She knew exactly what she wanted for her bridal makeup look and it was such an honor for me to use my skills to give her want she wanted.

Some key looks for Lauren's bridal makeup:
  • Flawless airbrushed skin finished with a nice bronzy glow and contoured cheeks
  • Full natural brows
  • Top black cat eyeliner, neutral eyeshadows, with highlighting in the inner corner of the eyes
  • Soft glam stripe lashes
  • For the bottom lash line, we kept is natural and clean only applying mascara to the bottom lashes
  • Soft pink lips to complete the look

Check out this whimsical photoshoot I was a part of in the middle of Camp Cannan, SC. Photos by the talented Yah Photography and organized by the amaizng MINT TO BE Weddings. It was choosen as 2015 TOP styled shoot!

MAKEUP: You can never go wrong with flawless skin, a soft glam eyes and a pretty lip color. You will see that the bride started with a soft pink then we changed it up to a vibrant berry color to change the mood.

HAIR: Kristen Brown brought out her gorgeous natural curls and pinned in a gold hair band to give a fairy like feel.

Trica was so lovely to allow me to use her before and after photos to show my viewers the power of makeup.
I know many of my clients always ask  me to highlight and contour their face. What is highlight and contouring and why have you been seeing all of these products for it?

Highlighting your face gives you a beautiful glow in areas where the sun would naturally hit your face. Contouring your face is adding shading to areas you want to minimize. So remember light brings forward and dark takes away!

AREAS to HIGHLIGHT- inner corner of the eyes, brow bones, cupids bow on top of the lips, center and tip of the nose, and top of the apples of the cheeks. Basically only the center (diamond shape) of your face.
AREAS to CONTOUR- top of the forehead if needed, side of nose, hollows of your cheeks, and if you have a long chin.
*TIP- DO NOT contour with any shades that has a orange/bronzy hue.

For everyday makeup application for myself, I lightly highlight and contour on top of my foundation with powders. Using a cream contour is totally not necessary for everyday makeup!
I know it looks crazy!
The beautiful results.
